About Our Fishing Charter

Hey guys, Captain Stephen here. A little bit about me-

I have wanted to be a fishing guide since I was 4 years old. I was born in Tampa, Florida and spent half of my childhood growing up there. My dad started taking me fishing when I was 18 months old in Tampa Bay. When I was 8 my parents became missionaries and we moved overseas. I went to college at North Greenville University in Greenville, SC and earned a degree in Outdoor Leadership. I bounced around a couple of full time jobs after college and quickly realized I needed to seriously pursue guiding as a career. I bought a 14ft Vhull Jon boat while I was still in college and that really broadened my range from the canoe I was fishing from. So I found a job through a friend that freed up my weekends and I began putting in the time on lakes up in Greenville and driving down to Charleston over weekends to learn the water. I started working on my Captains License in 2019 and got my license in 2020. I then started taking all of my friends and people from work out fishing to really start to learn the art of guiding.

It was always a toss up between where I wanted to guide-Charleston or florida. The lowcountry called me home. The summer of 2021 I drove down every weekend to really learn the waters and we moved here Oct 1 2021. We are living in a camper full time to go after this. Married my awesome wife Morgan in 2019 and we have a 2 year old son Stephen III who is my pride and joy.

I absolutely love guiding and would love to get you out on the water and share my love for fishing with you! I have spent my entire life devoted to fishing and I love to share my passion with others. I am also proud to offer a no fish no pay Guarantee.

Where do I park?

405 Pinckney St, McClellanville, SC 29458

You will park in the single car parking area across from the town hall, by the playground, or on the side of Pinckney road. The gravel lot by the boat ramp is for trailer vehicles only. You will get towed if you park in the gravel lot.

Where do I meet the Captain?

You will meet Captain Stephen on the boat dock next to the boat ramp.

Can I keep the fish?

Unashamed Adventures practices catch and release on ALL Redfish and highly prefers catch and release on all species.

What boat are we fishing out of?

We will be fishing out of my 18 ft. G3 aluminum Jon Yatch customized for shallow water fishing. This boat floats extremely shallow and helps us catch more fish. She is powered by a brand new 2021 Suzuki 60hp outboard to get us to and from the dock reliably. I picked this boat as it has a large casting deck up front for my anglers to fish from and is a good all around boat for the area we are fishing-it gives us versatility to carry a variety of gear for any fishing situations we may encounter. We have seadek eva flooring installed in the whole boat to add comfort and quietness.

What is the Cancelation Policy?

*Please contact the Captain as soon as possible if your trip needs to be rescheduled*

Half Day and Full Day Trip (Deposits are non-refundable.)

If you reschedule more than 7 days before your trip, your deposit will go towards a future trip.

If you cancel within 7 days of your trip you will be charged the full charter amount.

What is your Weather Policy?

The captain closely monitors the weather. If unsafe weather conditions arise, the captain will contact you to reschedule the trip.

What kind of equipment will we be using?

We will be using top of the line equipment from Penn Reels, Shimano Reels, and St. Croix Rods.
